Arrive New Delhi
Your snow leopard experience begins at the Delhi airport where you will be welcomed by our representative upon arrival. You will be assisted to get to your hotel and check-in. Later, you can relax in the hotel or explore the city.

New Delhi, the capital city of India, is one of the largest and fastest growing metropolises in the world. It is a bustling city, ever growing and moulding itself with the times. The city has a colourful history which is embodied in its monuments, forts and historical places. A visitor can choose to sample the culture of the city in its vibrant markets or taste the Indian cuisine in its numerous eateries. Delhi has something to offer to everyone!

We advise you to get adequate rest today, as tomorrow we embark on an exciting journey into the breathtaking wilderness of north India.
Day 2 / 3 / 4
Today we head for the airport to board a flight to Leh, where we will be based for the next three days. The beautiful town of Leh is situated at an altitude of 3,500 meters

The town is dominated by the Leh Palace, whose architecture is similar to that of the Dalai Lama's former Tibetan residence- Potala Palace.

For the next three days you will be visiting different monasteries in the region.
Day 5 / 6 / 7 / 8
Leh to Hemis National Park
Today we leave Leh and head for Hemis National Park (approx 1 hour drive). On reaching Zinchen Village, we trek into the gorge towards Husing Camp. Husing lies at a point in the Snow Leopard corridor that links three valleys, and the elusive leopards have often been spotted along its ridge line. This route to Husing takes about one and a half hours to traverse. We aim to arrive at the camp in time for lunch and some rest. In the evening, we will trek high up to Tarbung Nala in search of these magnificent animals.

  • Hike category: Grade B (moderate trek in extreme weather conditions with temperatures going down to -15 to -25 degrees Celsius)

Our tryst with Hemis continues over the next three days as well. We will be exploring the valleys around Husing Camp in our quest for the rare Snow Leopard.
Day 9 / 10 / 11 /12 / 13 / 14 / 15
Hemis National Park to Rumbak
We continue to explore the scenic valleys of the Rumbak and Husing areas for the next few days. The mountains around Rumbak are known for their unique biodiversity. They are home to four different species of wild sheep and goats – Ibex, Blue Sheep, Ladakh Urial and Tibetan Argali. Of these, the Blue Sheep is the main prey of the area's Snow Leopard population.

  • Hike category- Grade B (Moderate trek in extreme weather conditions with temperatures going down to -15 to -25 degrees Celsius)
Day 16
Rumbak to Leh
Today we trek back to Zinchen and further down the Indus river. We will then drive back to Leh.
Day 16
Leh – New Delhi
Today we head for the airport to catch a flight to Delhi. You will be welcomed by our representative upon arrival at Delhi airport, who will help you get to your hotel.
