Kaziranga National Park : EAST INDIA

Kaziranga National Park, is an esteemed national park of India. This protected area of Assam has no dearth of distinct flora and fauna. Due to which, in the year 1985 it was designated as one of the famous natural World Heritage Site. Located in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam, this national park was established in the year 1905 as a Reserve forest. Since then it has achieved notable success in wildlife conservation.

Located on the edge of the Eastern Himalaya biodiversity hotspot, the park combines high species diversity and visibility. This place is a paradise for nature lovers. It has distinct biological biodiversity of universal value. It is the oldest park in Assam which covers a vast area of 430 Sq km. Long elephant grasslands, marshlands, and dense tropical moist broad leaf forest creates an ideal ambiance for the survival of the wildlife.

Kaziranga is one of the few wild breeding areas outside Africa for multiple species of large cats, such as Indian Tigers and Leopards.
