About Your Trip

Embark on an exhilarating journey into the foothills of the Himalayas and explore the captivating Greater Corbett Landscapes. This region, teeming with extraordinary wildlife including mammals, birds, and reptiles, owes its rich biodiversity to its diverse terrains. Nestled between the Himalayan Foothills to the north and the Shivalik range to the south, you'll find lush forests dominated by Sal, Bamboo, Khair, Sissoo, and Teak trees. Discover the splendor of riverine regions, grasslands, waterfalls, wetlands, and rocky outcrops that serve as habitats for nearly 600 bird species and a plethora of other wildlife.

Encounter majestic creatures such as Asiatic Elephants, Tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bears, Himalayan Black Bears, Serows, Ghural, Otters, endemic Gharial Crocodiles, Yellow-throated Martens, and the formidable King Cobra. Our unique program unfolds in two thrilling parts: first, explore on foot to appreciate the intricate ecosystem beyond just the iconic tiger, and delve into the life along the vital River Ramganga and the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Then, transition to an adrenaline-pumping jeep safari in pursuit of the region’s larger predators. This adventure is a must for any wildlife enthusiast seeking an experience far beyond searching for just the tiger.

Featured Lodges

Vanghat Lodge

One of the most remote wildlife lodges in Northern Indian forests, Vanghat is an internationally acclaimed eco-lodge located on a secluded bank of the Western Ramganga River deep inside Kalagarh Tiger Reserve division of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Vanghat welcomes true nature and wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. However, one needs to bear in mind that our eco-lodge is not a place for a typical Club Med-type picnic holiday. Its location, accessible only by a 1.8km cross-country hike or by 4x4 and then a raft over the Ramganga River, and its limited indigenous stone and mud constructions and complete involvement with the community, makes Vanghat the perfect example of sustainability. Vanghat lodge is a wilderness paradise unlike anything else to be found around Jim Corbett National Park.

Jim’s Jungle Retreat

Jim's Jungle Retreat is a wildlife lodge in Corbett Tiger Reserve. At the retreat, spend hours by the pool, at the jungle-inspired chemical-free spa or on your private verandah. A gastronomic experience awaits you with organic farm-to-table meals, cuisines from the Kumaon, the Raj and from the Nawabi kitchens of Rampur. Birdsong, privacy, and sumptuous meals are your personal luxuries here. A highly rated wildlife lodge that offers an immersive jungle experience to its guests in over 15 acres of replanted forest. Only 18 independent cottages can be found here among water bodies, grasslands and mixed deciduous flora from the Terai planted decades ago.
